Hydrant is a revolutionary, crowd sourcing-based app that engages the public in early wildfire prevention and detection via human reports.
The Hydrant team is made up of ambitious and dedicated high school students who admire the beauty of our planet Earth and are concerned about its future. Our team loves solving problems, especially if they have the potential for ensuring better lives for future generations.
Hydrant offers a new approach to wildfire detection and verification anywhere, anytime. By using the thermal imaging GOES-R satellite, the app can regularly verify reports submitted by citizens anywhere in order to notify the people about any wildfires that may pose a threat to them.
