M.O.T.H.S. is a lunar rove that scoops up regolith and tests its samples for radiation levels at different areas at Shackleton Crater. Regolith can be used as a 3D printing material for many different purposes.

Sizing with the 3D CAD model became an issue. It was easily solved by making the dimensions larger on certain parts and then reprinting the model. Configuring and assembling the model also posed as a slight issue because of the way the printer prints the project.

Our team built a small model of our rover with a 3D printer. We designed the entire rover from scratch in Solid Edge software. We then exported it to a Taz Lulz Bot to print it. The rover is designed to test samples of regolith near the Shackleton crater for reports of radiation. The reason why we are doing this is to test how much regolith is needed in order to block unhealthy amounts of radiation. Regolith can be used as a building material via 3D printing.
