Belfast’s First Entry into the NASA SPACE APPS CHALLENGE
Please join us on October 20th and 21st for the 2018 NASA SpaceApps Challenge. This will be your chance to be a part of Northern Ireland's first entry into Space Apps.

The event will be hosted by PA Consulting at their new offices in StepSpace with food and drinks throughout the event sponsored by MCS Group

You will get to team up with like-minded people to build something great. The best teams will be diverse so whether you are an artist, scientist, student, engineer, software developer, gamer, librarian, bricklayer (pretty much anyone) or someone with massive enthusiasm and great ideas then you can get involved!

You will be tasked to design, build and present innovative solutions to challenges we currently face on Earth and in Space. Whether it's an app, website, electronic gadget, gizmo, clothing or something entirely outside the box, we look forward to seeing what you create at Space Apps Belfast!

Across the two days, teams of 4-6 individuals will develop their solution to selected challenges. You can form your team before the event or at the start of the weekend. At the conclusion of the event, teams will present their solution to a panel of judges to win awards.

What are the judged categories, and what are the prizes? Our judges panel will be made up of coders, artists, designers, and makers. We encourage you to participate no matter your medium. The judged categories and some project inspiration is available here: We will nominate two Belfast entries to advance to Global Judging by the NASA team. The prizes for NASA's global awards have not yet been announced but previous awards have been to attend a Rocket Launch!

How do I register or submit my project for judging? Registration and project submission occurs through this website. Some instructions are here: Submit Project Instructions
