NASA International Space Apps Challenge
NASA International Space Apps Challenge is an international hackathon that will take place globally, also here in Sydney on October 20th and 21st, 2018. The event embraces collaborative problem solving with a goal of producing open-source solutions to challenges we currently face on Earth and in space.
Our goal is to continue to develop the thriving tech community in Sydney by giving talented problem solvers an opportunity to showcase their skills for the greater good. This represents the core of NASA's Open Innovation Initiative.
Main Objective:
NASA International Space Apps Challenge is a model for innovation. The ability to contribute towards solving meaningful challenges is the most important motivator for most participants in mass collaboration.
NASA educates and empowers students and engineers to acquire knowledge and skills in the disciplines of Science, Technology and Engineering, by way of thinking boldly, taking initiative and acting globally.
Information Day (13 October):
Information Day is a gathering for participants to come together before Space Apps to get to know one another, learn from provided sessions and to begin to ideate on projects. This is a time you can get more details about the event, form teams, learn what you need for your project from presented workshops and prepare yourself for hackathon day.
