Space Apps Challenge 2018

Our solution is based on the global need to have a clean ocean where all plastics are withdrawn and recycled as it is estimated that they can live in our oceans for more than 100 years up to 1000 years.

The objectif is to localise and monitor these masses of plastics and have a satellite visual control of them so as to mesure and estimate their evolution, course and destination on a specific data thanks to NASA technology.

This data could be registered and sent through the international station ISS in cooperation with Galileo as an example and could be sent to a developed IoT technology as an APP.

Thanks to this data gathered through an APP we could see on real time where could be located these masses and its features.

Any organization or citizen could access to the location (beaches sailing boats, commercial boats...) and help t clean our oceans.

A recycling policy could be designed through the App locating places where to deposit them.

Furthermore this information about plastic masses could be shown in schools, universities and create a GLOBAL CONSCIENCE about this problem changing to citizens to create a recycling and cleaning global project.
