Motivation:

We are two students from Mendoza, here, a big fire took place in “Pie de Monte” recently. For the fire, a lot of people lost their houses and too many flora and wildlife were affected. One of us, Martin, lives in a neighborhood near there. He saw the fire 2 or 3 hours before the firefighters arrived. We believe that, with our solution all of this could have been avoided.

For that, for make a difference in people`s life, we propose this APP-

Our APP Movil allows:

• Prevention
• Early detection
• Verification
• Tracking
• Visualization
• Notification of wildfires

This app Works with a data base that combines data from NASA's satellites and feedback from the community. And use geolocation to know the location of users (both when the user reports a fire and when he receives a notification for being near the fire).

With the APP, you could:

• Report fires
• Alerts when you are near a fire (you or a family member)
• Have information of all fires minute by minute
• Receive advice based on statistics to prevent fires in prone areas.

With the use of this APP we could detect fires in advance, preventing them from increasing or affecting people who are nearby.

We can do it!

Each fire has a score based on community ratings, NASA satellite information and some climate variables

We are talking about too much impact (in quality and quantity), because this solve a big problem that could help many people.

Our solution is scientifically valid, technically feasible, too easy to use and can work perfectly in the real world.
