Using both official API and crowdsourcing systems, Alert Now alerts the user in case of any incident occur nearby. Also allowing monitoring of other around the world.
When compared the number of victims from wildfires, there was a need to find and prevent fire outbreaks as early as possible. On average, it takes about 3 to 4 hours to identify a wildfire using official APIs, on the other hand, it takes only 10 minutes if crowdsourcing is used.
We resolved to go further and expand the scope so that the application could deal with most natural disasters. And when mixing crowdsourcing with API, Alert Now came up.
In the application, the user also is can submit an incident or view all the active incidents.
