There are 100,000 wildfire incidents in the U.S. every year and in 2017, US$ 71B worth of economic losses has been reported*. One of the biggest reasons is the lack of early wildfire detection. As a solution, we propose an AI driven pocket fire alarm designed to notify households using solar-powered secondhand mobile phones as sensors and NASA data.
