Space Apps Challenge 2018

The goal of this is to automate the expensive and dangerous steps of asteroid mining

• To bring rare resources to the planet, and also allow for resources to be created in space where astronauts need them.

Picture being able to mine oxygen and fuel for manned space missions, or being able to print parts in case something goes wrong.

• Not only could minerals be mined, but solar panels could be printed making for much more efficient energy. We could eliminate 25% of our industrial footprint by 2100.
  • This could also be applied to print satellites in space, making launching them infinitely cheaper
