The Challenge | Virtual Space Exploration

Generate Virtual Reality environments for the surface of the Moon and Mars! Obtain 3D models from NASA resources, such as Moon Trek and Mars Trek. Integrate 3D models of surface exploration systems and habitats. Develop and deploy the virtual world at a hosting service.

Using Unreal Engine 4 to deliver an immersive simulation of potential Mars missions. Using this training sim, would enable us to calculate risks using real data. This will enable us to reduce any risk factors for any future Mars exploration/colonisation.

Geeks & Gamers

Using Unreal Engine 4 visual scripting blueprints to design a simulated Mars environment with images from the rover and satellite data, We used VR environment integration to allow the users to explore and learn about the surface of Mars and different scenarios that humans may under take when landing on Mars.

We use NASA resources to document facts about different regions on Mars and their particular surface features and different weather scenarios. As well as the in-depth composition layers of the planet. The VR environment will provide interactivity for an enhanced exploration experience to train humans to the aspects of what we COULD face on the red planet.

We aim to provide a rich learning experience to make it safer for humans going to Mars FOR THE FIRST TIME!! with the possible outcome to extend its purpose for space exploration.
