Develop a concept for a time capsule with content to educate an extraterrestrial civilization about human culture and our solar system.
The Golden Record Vol. 2
We reimagined what and how to execute the concept behind the original 1977 Golden Record. We included pictures, earthly sounds, technology, common international greetings, and influential/cultural music onto a website created in order to archive the info.
As background information, we acknowledged the previous Golden record and its contents to incorporate a modern version of the images, sounds, greetings, etc. Certain challenges faced on our course included selecting a challenge to fit our backgrounds as a team without coding or videos experience and also translating what was current in the 1970's while maintaining the same message and significance in the Record. Resources used include NASA.gov(Original Voyager information), Wix.com(Website designing), and Onshape.com(3D modeling).
