Our project consists of a 3D printed capsule that would conceptually be sent to Kelper-348b with simple and complex contents. These contents consist of soil samples, acorns, a world map, the word "hello" in every language, a flash drive with pictures and videos of Earth, and a computer to view the flash drive contents on. We used a local makerspace called STEAM Works to design a model capsule with CAD. During the printing process, we acquired soil samples and acorns to put inside the finished product. We also loaded a flash drive with images of art, buildings, people, and important events on Earth in case of any extraterrestrial encounter.
