What are the technological and scientific advances in relation to the knowledge we had about the importance of these observations and studies in the past? What are your predictions for the coming years and their impacts on our lives?

The nebula was discovered by the Spitzer Space Telescope. Apparently this nebula is 80 light-years in length, and is 300 light-years away from the possible supermassive black hole in the center of the galaxy, 25,000 light-years from Earth.

The importance of this image to me is how we can perceive that everything around us is intertwined. Its shape reminds us of a Dna and shows how we can still be surprised about the formation of our vast universe. I would put the image on the ceiling of my room so that every time I could sleep, I could look back to remember how there are still new things to discover.

The Double Helix Nebula (also known as the DNA Nebula due to its shape) is a diffuse nebula near the center of our galaxy.
