Space Apps Challenge 2018

Our algorithm will process all the NASA images and classify them, in order to produce a unique music track for every single image

In the example of the photo of Jupiter we have combined 3 sounds: the first sound is that of bolt which is Zeus’ symbol, the second is the sound of Jupiter’s rotation and the third is inspired by the average number of the RGB values of NASA’s insignia (we chose not to retrieve all the photo’s pixels because there are only a few of them that are symbolic and). In the end, we retrieved a grey-brown-ish color and we recorded as a melody of drums that have metallic elements (grey) and large strings (from the family of violins) which are brown in color.
