The Challenge | Do YOU Know When the Next Rocket Launch Is?

Create a tool to track international rocket launch information.

Launchomatic

Launchomatic is aimed towards citizens to inform them about rocket launches and towards companies to help them manage their rocket launches and calculations.

Launchomatic

Once you open our application, you can either register, log in, or view rocket launch information. By clicking "Rocket information", a user could view a rocket's company, mission, date of launch, payload ratio, orbital velocity, launching velocity, type of engine, dimensions, and launch viewing place. Furthermore, and shared live feed of rocket launches could be viewed from inside the application. We'll get these information from company's websites or companies could log in and add information about new rockets they're going to launch or reschedule a launch. Moreover, in the era of privatized spaceflight, companies overlooking safety precautions or errors in calculations is sadly common, thus if there's an error in the payload ratio calculation, our app tells the company as it may cause such failures in launching.

Our application is a desktop application coded with C# and designed with visual studio and connected to an SQL database.

Challenges we have faced include:

1. Downloading visual studio as it took over four hours to download. However, we finished the rest of the work as it downloaded as not to waste time.

2. The code took a long time to write and there were parts that we haven't written before. However, with the help of our mentor and the internet, we were able to write the code successfully.
