SpaceArm has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!
Robotic automated system “SpaceArm”
About us
Our team has five members and we combine skills, knowledge and competencies in different areas: 3D CAD Design, Finite Elements and Motion Analysis, Rapid Prototyping, CNC Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics, Programming technologies, Electronics, Sensors and Control Systems. We are high school students, students and teachers united by passion in robotics.
About the problem we are solving
Not “If”, but WHEN people get to the Mars again and when for the first time we land on the Red Planet, for sure robots will be used to establish a life for us on the first lunar and Mars base camps. In order to stay alive in the space or on some other planet, astronauts need special lifesaving equipment, which gives only few work hours in the harsh environment. It is obvious that the rough environment, extreme high or low temperatures, extreme high level of radiation, acid atmosphere, dusty storms, incomparable to those on the Earth, limited resources, etc., humans in their own couldn’t possibly bear the colossal tasks to conquer the Space. Robots will be those, that will work instead of humans, that will do the heavy and dangerous tasks while investigating, supporting and terraforming the new Worlds.
Our vision for the future is that only open systems as “SpaceArm” might respond to so many different needs that people will have on Mars. We believe that SpaceArm will be launched to Mars and we will do our best to complete our project successfully!
