Timeline:
Friday - Attended various workshops. As a group decided our hack would do something to complete the 'CAN YOU BUILD A... - Make Sense Out of Mars' Challenge.
Saturday -
Morning: Began investigating possible APIs to use to retrieve images or sensor data from Mars. Found the MAAS API (Mars Atmospheric Aggregation System - http://ingenology.github.io/mars_weather_api/) which would have suited our project well however, the website was down.
Mid-day: Found the Mars Rover Photos API and decided to use that for our project; shifting away from the original idea of sensor data aggregation to one that deals with aggregating images.
Evening + Sunday Morning: Began work on pulling the images and then sending the images to be processed through Microsoft Azure Computer Vision which generates results and tags which would then be sent to a database server. The processed images would then be called to be displayed on a website.
