BID DIABETIC INFUSION PUMP

What is the diabetes:
Diabetes indicates that the level of glucose, or sugar, is very high in the blood. In type 1 diabetes, the pancreas does not produce insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps glucose penetrate cells to give them energy. Without insulin, there is an excess of glucose that remains in the blood. Over time, high blood glucose levels can cause serious problems in the heart, eyes, kidneys, nerves, gums, and teeth. Type 1 diabetes occurs most often in children and young adults, but can occur at any age

Note:
A blood test can show if you have diabetes. If so, you should take insulin for the rest of your life. A blood test called A1c can check how you are managing your diabetes.

Problem to solve:
The constant injections in diabetic people.
For this project we are focused on diabetes 1 (on childrens).

Solution:
Create a device that is capable of administering insulin by means of a transdermal patch.

Metod:

Insulin is secreted by the patch through a technique called iontophoresis, which must be absorbed by the skin. It is also controlled by an electronic device with its application to regulate the amount of medication administered.

Objectives:
Create the entire device only in the patch.
Replace the injetions to this new patch.
Use this device for more medicines.
Use this device to administer medicine to astronauts.
