Create an easy-to-use way for people to develop their own, custom checklists – both items and plans – for specific kinds of disasters. Use NASA images, videos, or data visualizations to illustrate each disaster type, to help people understand how to prepare.

Be a survivor!!!

Smartphone application to survive in case of disaster

We are college student of Aizu. We are interested in this hackathon because we learn programing in college nowadays and like Space information. NASA’s study is so great. We watch the data and article well.

We planned a smartphone application that can be used in an emergency called "Be a survivor !!!" and can also prepare to disaster.

For example, weather like tornadoes, heavy rain, or when you are dangerous like a earthquake, a tidal wave and a volcanic eruption. This app will notify us of disasters by muttering of certain accounts to us. Furthermore, after reporting which disaster it is, we will show you the flow chart of the corresponding disaster. When you are in danger, can you quickly remember how you actually act?We believe that evacuation awareness is decreasing unless a natural disaster occurs. Therefore, by carrying this application, you will be able to take appropriate action. In addition, this application can summarize the knowledge to survive and use it as a survival book. The real survival book is thick and it is ridiculous to carry around. That point can be used really smart as a smartphone application.

In the future, I would like to add SOS signal using the flash function of the camera, and add functions that will emit your position with a warning sound. I hope this application will be a good one.
