Create an easy-to-use way for people to develop their own, custom checklists – both items and plans – for specific kinds of disasters. Use NASA images, videos, or data visualizations to illustrate each disaster type, to help people understand how to prepare.
DEMS - Disaster Educator and Management Set
DEMS is a combination of an app and a device. DEMS app contains a personalized preparation for disasters, guided reaction plan and an educational section about disasters. DEMS device sends location and status to the rescuing unit after the disaster.
DAY 1
Brainstorming for the app and the device. Researching and collecting all the needed information. We started making the maps.
DAY 2
Sketching the application. Designing the application. Discussions with mentors. Research of how does the device work and what should its design be to be the most efficient. Short presentation in front of the mentors.
DAY 3
Final touches and presentation preparation.
