The Challenge | Don’t Forget the Can Opener!

Create an easy-to-use way for people to develop their own, custom checklists – both items and plans – for specific kinds of disasters. Use NASA images, videos, or data visualizations to illustrate each disaster type, to help people understand how to prepare.

Our project is a mobile application, that reminds users with all the emergency supplies needed and recommended by the authorities. Also, it shows plans to follow according to user's circumstances.

• A mobile app that provides disaster safety tips, an interactive emergency kit list, emergency meeting location information, and a map with open shelters and nearest hospitals.
• users can create their own, custom checklists – both items and plans – depending on the type of the disaster.
• It warns users if their virtual go-bag gets too heavy to carry
• Depending on the type of disaster, app shows plans for users to follow and help them figure out what order to do things in.
• Also, it allows the user to fill out their medical information, such as insurance information and blood type, to make it easy on how to treat them.
• This application covers all the challenge aspects and help people understand how to prepare in case of disaster.
