Create an easy-to-use way for people to develop their own, custom checklists – both items and plans – for specific kinds of disasters. Use NASA images, videos, or data visualizations to illustrate each disaster type, to help people understand how to prepare.

Disaster.Bot

A Facebook Messenger bot that will give you information about potential natural disasters in your location and prepare for them in advance.

We use Facebook Messenger API to create the Disaster.Bot. Using historic data of many major natural disasters, Disaster.Bot gives users a list of natural disasters their area is prone to, and also explain how and what they need to prepare. Overtime, Disaster.Bot reminds you through updates and notifications to better prepare especially when a disaster is approaching. If any item on your preparation checklist expires, Disaster.Bot will be sure to keep you updated. Extra features have been added to allow you to purchase any checklist item from Disaster.Bot itself, making it very convenient to be prepared.

Other than that, Disaster.Bot will also provide you with personalized escape plans if suitable during a disaster, as well as emergency contacts in your local area.
