The Challenge | Don’t Forget the Can Opener!

Outline

Personal data collected

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • Location

Define natural disasters

(Drought, Earthquakes, Floods, Hurricanes, Tsunamis, and wildfires)

Basic definition

  • Available network: go to the disaster and understand it
  • Unavailable network: friendly use booklet

Build a kit & Plan for emergency

Next steps

Personal data collected

In the personal data section, we let the user use a login and create account and update his information. He can add his name, phone number, email and location in order to get alerts depending on his location. We will get the alerts from the responsible organization

Define natural disasters

Basic definition

Available network

  • In this section we give each disaster a scientific definition of each disaster.
  • Also explained with a photo from NASA websites or other resources
  • We have in certain disasters with special illustrations to make it clearer using photo sliders

How to prepare for each disaster

  • We have a video explain in brief how to prepare for each disaster
  • We divided the preparation process into Before, During, and After including what should you do in each stage

Unavailable network

At the very bottom of each disaster you will find a PDF file contain the checklist you can download when you have internet connection and when the internet goes down you will be safe if you followed the steps

Map

In this section you will find a smart interactive map that you can choose and country and it will show you the most commonly happened natural disasters. Besides, it can take you to the disasters pages or view all the disasters

Kit & Plan

In this section, you will be able to find how to build a kit and plan for emergency.

  • You will find two videos for preparing a kit and two videos for planning for emergencies
  • Also, you can find detailed kit’s supplies
  • Addition supplies
  • Save place you can keep kit at
  • Keep your kit maintained
  • your limit weight of the kit
  • How to prepare a kit for your pets

Next steps

  • Create an Application
  • Partnership with (NASA, Samsung, I-phone, and Facebook)
  • Add more countries
  • Add more natural disasters
  • More than one language to facilitate the communication
