SSID: SPACECRAFT SKIN IMPACT DETECTOR

It Is a layer covering the spacecraft that simulates the human skin, it can feel pressure, scrapes and punctures. A network of nano-sensors covering the surface of the spacecraft. located under the thermal insulation layer of the vehicle, reporfting damge.

Smart spacecraft skin impact detector SSID is the solution for the successful and accurate detection of impacts done by MMOD. SSID will change our perspective of safe space travel and landing, saving our future dreams of exploration as humans.

In 48 hours our team faced many technecal issues if we had more time our proto type would come out better, the 3D printer failed and we had to improvise with a piece of carton.

The diversity of the team members background worked for our faver in a surprizing outcome.
