We built a robot rover based on Arduino Due and using a Space mouse 3D mouse as a controller.
The particular thing about our rover is that it's a 4 leg crawler that can fold his leg and use them as wheels.
This provide esergy saving operation using the legs in wheel mode and the ability to face unstable terrain using the legs in crawler mode.
The power and control to the last motor of each leg (each leg has 3 motor) is brought through slip rings, as in wheel mode normal cable cannot be used.
