Multaja': Predicting Displaced Populations in Conflict Zones
Multaja', the Arabic word for 'refuge', 'shelter' & 'sanctuary', is the name of our project. Utilizing an ensemble of machine learning methods we can forecast population trends of refugee camps in conflict zones with a collection of satellite images. Governments, NGOs and other aid agencies can now allocate resources more accurately with less down-time.
