Satellites Near You
Satellites Near You allows you to "see" the satellites in orbit as the travel close to your location, and provides a additional context about who put them there and why.
We created a web app that allows users to see what satellites are over their location. We used two data products to make the final product: satellites in orbit data from the Union of Concerned Scientists and API that calculates the satellites that are in orbit over a given latitude longitude.
We built it using React.js, P5.js, D3.js, and Adobe Illustrator.
