Our project's vision is to help report fires all around the world, for this prototype we have used South America. The idea is to involve everyone as a whole when these disasters occur. Moreover, when a user spots a fire or one that is starting they will be able to report their location in our application and then people around a 2km radius will be notified to confirm the fire before reporting it to the respective authorities. NASA’s data will help us with a historical repository to give priority to places that have suffered from fire related accidents and report it without need of confirmation. The next step to implement in our project would be that once a fire has been confirmed, everyone within a radius of the event will receive a notification of the accident and receive proper instruction to go to a safe location. The app would also keep people informed about the event with pictures and videos.

Our first challenge was to make sense of how to use NASA's data and be able to use it efficiently in our project. Once we decided on what data to use from the NASA's API, the overall design of the application and its case uses was a bit time consuming. After that it was just doing our best to optimize our web services and mobile app.
