Create an easy-to-use way for people to develop their own, custom checklists – both items and plans – for specific kinds of disasters. Use NASA images, videos, or data visualizations to illustrate each disaster type, to help people understand how to prepare.

An application which alerts,notifies,guides and provides checklist for users,when there is any disasters nearby

ALPHA GO

The solution built is a mobile application that runs in the background of the users smartphone, which detects the major parameters of a disaster(eg magnitude of earth quake in an area) and automatically opens up and guides the user ro safer localities nearyby, safety precautions to be taken during the disaster and the checklist of items to be carried etc.

The challenges faced during the development of the application are

1 Firstly,framing a solution for the problem statement identified.

2 Finding the source of data and filtering the data required.

3 Choosing the apt technologies and overcoming certain technical glitches.
