The Planetary Protection Agency | Virtual Space Exploration

The Challenge | Virtual Space Exploration

Generate Virtual Reality environments for the surface of the Moon and Mars! Obtain 3D models from NASA resources, such as Moon Trek and Mars Trek. Integrate 3D models of surface exploration systems and habitats. Develop and deploy the virtual world at a hosting service.

The Planetary Protection Agency

See the Galaxy, Save the Planet! A dust storm is heading towards Mars Base 1. Collect food, water, and medical supplies before the storm hits!

The Planetary Protection Agency

The Planetary Protection Agency is a computer sim game aimed at middle school students (ages 12-16). A series of operation objectives allows young adults to start looking at the challenges associated with living on Mars. Math, geography, and critical thinking are required skills to join the Agency. Do you have what it takes to survive a Martian Dust Storm?

The game is part of a Martian Thematic Unit for Educators to use. While others are welcome to play, the various challenges will reflect portions of the curriculum and additional lessons as the game develops.
