Space Apps Challenge 2018

Background:

When we saw the “Do you know when the next rocket launch is?” challenge, we knew at once that this project is what we care about and that we would like to try our best to solve it.

Resources:

We used Python Dash framework as our main tool. To retrieve data from various sources we used BeautifulSoup. As for data analysis pandas worked for us ideally. Some parts of our site used HTML and CSS. The main map was created with Mapbox service.

Challenges faced:

Throughout the Space Apps Hackathon, we faced multiple challenges. For example, the software we were using had little or no documentation. This, combined with time restrictions made us stop and look for the answers that we needed.

We slept very little and were tired out at the end of the 28-hour sprint, but it was fun, as coding and project development is our passion. We have developed some useful skills and met interesting people throughout this weekend. Thank you Hackathon, it was great!
