Global Nominee

The Challenge | Make Sense Out of Mars

Develop a sensor to be used by humans on Mars.

Mars Buddy

Mars Buddy will help Astronaut at Mars all the time.

ZERON

WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

1-Helping Astronaut stay safe and provide all the help Astronaut needs on the field

2-Reaching places that can't be reached by remote control

3-Reducing the possibility of losing a rover

HOW DO WE SOLVE IT?

1-By using Image processing we will be able to detect any kind of danger(Sandstorms, Astronaut's Condition etc.).If we can detect them before it starts, Astronauts will be more safe and the rover will be safe as well.In addition Mars Buddy will help Astronout's research with it's sensors.Such as search for water, mapping a area, etc.

2-Caves and craters can be dangerous for Astronaut to explore. We can use Mars Buddy to explore this places. With remote control or a wristband (Which will be integrated to Astronaut's suit) we can explore this places more safely and more efficient.

3-Because of Caves, Craters, Solar Flares (Because Mars doesn't have a magnetosphere) sometimes communication with rover becomes impossible. When this happens Astronauts can use their wristband to control Mars Buddy.

IMAGINE IT WITH US

-A rover that can self-drive in Mars, helping Astronaut all the time, changes controls when its needed (Remote Control, Astronaut, Self-Driving), collects samples and data, helping us build a new world in Mars.
