Design an autonomous free-flyer to inspect a spacecraft for damage from Micro-Meteoroid and Orbital Debris (MMOD).

Free Fliers

We have designed an autonomous free flier that will detect damage from Micro-Meteoroid and Orbital Debris (MMOD) on the external side of the ISS.

Legends Of Tomorrow

Our product will orbit space crafts and detect higher radiation levels from ionising particles and energy beams from the radioactive debris that has been exposed longer in space. This will be accomplished by using a Geiger Muller detector with the product recording this information in its memory. It will have a EDF propeller and use hydrogen cells in order for it to be pushed out the bay and return back to it. The adjusters will use hydrogen peroxide (that is contained in a central tank) in short bursts to align its angle and position properly for orbit of the spacecraft. It will return to its bay after every cycle for the astronauts to check the data.
